Borderdoodles are a cross between a Border Collie and a poodle. Borderdoodles are also known as Bordoodles, Borpoos and Borderpoos. Friendly, playful, and intelligent, these pups inherited some of the best qualities from both of their parents. We're proud to breed and make available for adoption some of the smartest and healthiest Borderdoodles!
Depending on the size of the parents, our Borderdoodles weigh around 20 to 30 pounds or 30 to 40 pounds. We think this is the perfect size for any living environment... apartment, house, farm, city, or county.
Borderdoodles can come in many different color patterns. Most common in our puppies are black, brown, red, tri-color, merle, and parti. There are four different coat types in our puppies and they are straight, wavy, loose curls, and curly.
Because Borderdoodles are smart, tolerant, loyal, and super affectionate, they make wonderful family dogs and personal companions. They love to play games, go on hikes, and be part of the family. Borderdoodles love kids and get along well with other animals. They don't usually bark, except to warn of a stranger on your property. Borderdoodles also excel in agility sports and are super desirable as service dogs due to their high I.Q. and astonishing reasoning ability, which makes them super easy to train.
An F1 is considered the original Bordoodle (aka Border Doodle). F1 Bordoodles exhibit highly sought after physical and mental attributes from both the Border Collie and the Poodle. Some are non shedding, some are low shedding, some are medium shedding and some are heavy shedding.
F1b Borderdoodles are often sought after for their high probability of being hypoallergenic and non-shedding. Their coat is usually a bit more curly/wavy than an F1 Borderdoodle.
